Rental, Reservation, and Delivery Terms of The Middle of Nordic Ltd Oy The rental price includes the snowmobile, riding gear, and necessary insurance. The equipment is inspected and photographed if needed to confirm its condition and integrity together with the renter. The renter is responsible for monitoring the warning lights on the dashboard and the functioning of the snowmobile, and must immediately report any issues to the rental provider to prevent more serious damage. If the renter’s negligence can be proven, the renter is liable to cover 100% of the repair costs. Driving errors are always the responsibility of the renter. The maximum deductible is €2,000, but for smaller damages, the renter must pay a deductible based on the actual repair costs. The renter can reduce the deductible by paying an additional fee at the time of rental. With an extra fee of €40, the maximum deductible is €950. If the snowmobile is damaged or experiences a technical failure during the rental period, a mutually agreeable solution will be sought. The rental provider is not necessarily obligated to provide a replacement vehicle. Instead, the rental may be compensated with a monetary refund or a future rental. If the interruption is caused by the renter, the rental provider is no longer liable. If the renter's negligence toward the equipment can be proven, they are liable for the full cost of the repairs without any deductible limit. Snowmobiles may only be driven on designated trails and routes. If a snowmobile sinks into water outside of these designated areas or is driven while intoxicated or during a race, the renter is fully liable for any damages to the snowmobile and related equipment, including technical faults. The renter must immediately report any faults to the equipment owner. Failure to do so will result in an additional fee depending on the fault (€100–€300). The renter must return the equipment to the rental provider at the agreed time and place. A fee of €100 will be charged for each starting hour beyond the agreed return time. If we have to assist in the terrain due to a driving error, the charge is €80/hour. Snowmobiles are always delivered with a full tank of 98E petrol and, in 2-stroke snowmobiles, a filled oil tank. Snowmobiles must be returned with a full tank of 98E petrol, and 2-stroke snowmobiles must also have the oil tank filled. Refueling can be done at Sallatunturin Tuvat, and 2-stroke oil can be purchased from us. Failure to refuel results in a service charge of €45 plus the cost of fuel and oil. The rental includes: riding overalls, boots, helmet, balaclava, and gloves. Damage, loss, or destruction of the riding gear caused by the renter will be charged at 100% of the item’s value. All snowmobiles come with two variator belts. If belt damage is proven to be caused by the renter, the full cost will be charged. Payments and Reservations Snowmobile rentals must be paid 100% in advance. The renter must have at least a T-class driver’s license and be at least 18 years old. We always check the renter's credit history. If necessary, we may perform a breathalyzer test. We do not take reservations by phone; customers must come in person. General Guidelines for Snowmobile Users Snowmobiling can cause serious injuries, so always follow appropriate speeds and traffic regulations. Trail permits from Metsähallitus are not included in the rental. Each renter must obtain the necessary permits themselves. Speed limits: 60 km/h on trails and 80 km/h on ice surfaces (lakes/rivers). In some areas, speed limits are set by traffic signs. Be especially cautious when crossing roads. Driving under the influence is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.
